SPIRIT OF SERVING

Desire to serve is a gift and a blessing. Serving God means serving others and surrounding with heart. Serving with right motivation will glorify His name and bring His blessing to the needies, including restoration to the broken relationship.

To serve is a process. So, don’t feel that you are failure atau tired.If that happened, take your time to pause for a while of doing it in order to pray for asking God give you guidance in evaluating your previous service. There are many reasons behind it. They could be not the right time yet, or it was not the right way of serving and ones we served were not ready.

Taking a break will remind our position in our service. Do we still walk in the right track or may we step backward ? For beginners, we must be alert with it. Is it the time for testing us to rise up our level ? If yes, thank Him and face all these matters by relying on His Word, because our quality of service is being improved.

The next five-finger-tips can be a guidance.

First, respect God and others who have given us the tasks and blessing. ( I Peter 2:17 Respect everyone, love your fellow believers, honor God, and respect the Emperor. )

Second, don’t judge or blame others in facing the problem, but we must try to find out the wise solution. Ask God to help and meet others who can assist us. ( Matthew 7:2 for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others. )
Third, go straight on the right way of God’s word ! Don’t make any compromise or follow wrong shortcut. ( II Peter 3 : 17 But the heavens and the earth that now exist are being preserved by the same command of God, in order to be destroyed by fire. They are being kept for the day when godless people will be judged and destroyed. )

Fourth, be nice to everyone, including to someone who is always against us. (Galatians 6 : 9 So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest. )

Fifth, be patient and loyal to learn from any struggle we face, even it is so bitter experience, so our service will be better and healthier. ( I Corinthians 9:26 That is why I run straight for the finish line; that is why I am like a boxer who does not waste his punches. )

Then, our hands, if are faithfull to His calling and to bear our cross, will become a channel of blessing for others and a channel of lights for whom in suffering and darkness. ( Mark 8 : 34 Then Jesus called the crowd and his disciples to him. "If anyone wants to come with me," he told them, "he must forget himself, carry his cross, and follow me. )

There is no more better joy than to serve Him in His Kingdom. ( Psalms 126 :5 Let those who wept as they planted their crops, gather the harvest with joy! )
