SPIRIT TO BE CLEAN

To be clean does not happen automatically. It needs our will and how we can get accustom to do it as a habit. If we let it does not happen, many problems may occurs, such as : getting itchy caused by skin diseases, having bad odor from mouth, stomachache and others.

To be clean makes ourselves confident and comfortable , including for others. It is not about a clean body, but also about clean heart. For heart is the source of our words and actions. So that, a clean heart will make our life healthy, not just physically but also spiritually.

Lets clean our body and our heart by practicing to do it as a habit.

JOSHUA 1:7

Just be determined, be confident; and make sure that you obey the whole Law that my servant Moses gave you. Do not neglect any part of it and you will succeed wherever you go.

SEMANGAT BERSIH

Menjadi bersih bukanlah sesuatu yang serba otomatis. Hal ini memerlukan kemauan dan pembiasaan diri. Berbagai persoalan dapat timbul karena pembiaran diri untuk tidak mau menjadi bersih, dari soal bau badan, bau mulut, gatal di sana-sini, sakit perut, dan lainnya.
Padahal menjadi bersih membuat diri nyaman, apalagi untuk orang lain, dan menjadikan kita percaya diri.

Begitu pula dengan hati yang bersih. Dari sinilah sumber ucapan dan tindakan kita. Karenanya hati yang bersih akan membuat hidup kita sehat, tidak hanya fisik saja tetapi rohani juga.
Mari kita bersihkan tubuh dan hati kita dengan berlatih untuk mengerjakannya sebagai suatu kebiasaan.

Yosua 1:7

Hanya, kuatkan dan teguhkanlah hatimu dengan sungguh-sungguh, bertindaklah hati-hati sesuai dengan seluruh hukum yang telah diperintahkan kepadamu oleh hamba-Ku Musa; janganlah menyimpang ke kanan atau ke kiri, supaya engkau beruntung, ke mana pun engkau pergi.

SPIRIT OF LOVE

Love is a part of life, which can not be separated. Without love life has no value and is useless..

Love is a commitment. It is unique and belongs to every one. Love is a seed of responsibility. It make us concern about others and surounding without exception. We need passion and responsibility to perform the seed of love. Again, this becomes our responsibility.

It is given to perform love indeed, not the pity. It is a part of self support and discipline. Love is dynamic and beautiful.

To show real love, sometime we need to suffer. But, suffering could be an offering to God. This short video is prepared to be a contemplation for ones who need it.

God has created a usefull lesson for us, eventhough sometime we do not know it. For God loves us so much, so there isn’t a reason for us to be worried.

“Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren't you worth much more than birds ?”

SEMANGAT KASIH SAYANG

Kasih sayang adalah bagian dari kehidupan yang tak terpisahkan. Tanpanya kehidupan tak bernilai dan tak bermakna.

Kasih sayang adalah suatu komitmen. Dia menjadi milik bersama dan unik.
Kasih sayang adalah benih tanggung jawab. Dia menjadikan kita peduli tanpa kecuali. Perlu kesabaran dan tanggungjawab atas benih cinta kasih tersebut. Lagi-lagi tanggungjawab bersama.
Cinta kasih adalah bagian dari pemberian. Pemberian sebagai wujud kasih dan bukan karena kasihan. Dia bagian dari upaya kemandirian dan pendewasaan diri,
Kasih sayang adalah dinamika dan keindahan.

Mewujudkan kasih sayang mesti ada pengorbanan. Pengorbanan yang menjadi ucapan syukur kepada Tuhan. Untuk itulah video pendek ini dibuat untuk menjadi perenungan bagi siapa saja yang memerlukannya. Tuhan telah menciptakan suatu pelajaran yang bermanfaat untuk kita, meski kadang kita tak menyadarinya.

Karena kasih sayang Tuhan, tak semestinya kita kuatir.

SPIRIT OF UNITY IN DIVERSITY

After a long pause due to busy working on short video making about rabies , I was very inspired to expose the spirit of unity in diversity . This has been a real spirit shown by a group of ants that inhabited the mango tree in our yard .



Observing the beauty of the ants that look the same, though were different from each other , I was staggering. I was so amazed like watching a football team competing in the World Cup .

Interestingly , I did not see any fighting between the red ants in the food hauling toward the destiny . They communicated well each other . I even saw a single ant carrying a food alone , without any problem and it did not matter . It was ok. There was also two or three carrying their food. That was ok, too.

How wonderful it is when in solving a problem or accomplish a task , we can cooperate with each other without any demands or coercion . The most important , of course, is responsibility . None stayed still, all moved and took initiative to do the job . If one stoped for a moment , it was to communicate or coordinate . Truly, God created ants that gave us examples of good team work .

Proverbs 6 : 6-8

Lazy people should learn a lesson from the way ants live. They have no leader, chief, or ruler, but they store up their food during the summer, getting ready for winter.

SEMANGAT KEBERAGAMAN

Setelah cukup lama jeda karena kesibukan mengerjakan karya video pendek mengenai rabies, saya sangat terinspirasi untuk mengangkat semangat keberagaman dalam kebersamaan. Semangat ini telah nyata ditunjukkan oleh sekelompok semut pohon yang menghuni pohon mangga di pekarangan rumah kami.



Mengamati keindahan para semut yang nampak sama, padahal berbeda satu sama lain, sungguh mencengangkan. Saya jadi terkagum seperti menyaksikan suatu tim sepak bola yang berlaga di piala dunia.

Uniknya, saya tidak melihat adanya rebutan antar semut merah di dalam menggotong makanan menuju tujuan. Mereka saling berkomunikasi dengan baik. Bahkan saya melihat ada satu semut yang menggotong sendirian beban makanan kecil sesuai porsinya dan itu tidak masalah. Ok ok saja. Ada pula yang menggotong berdua atau bertiga. Itu pun ok ok pula.

Alangkah indahnya apabila di dalam menyelesaikan suatu persoalan atau tugas, kita dapat saling bekerjasama tanpa harus ada tuntutan atau paksaan. Yang terpenting, tentu tanggungjawab. Tak ada yang berdiam diri, semua bergerak dan berinisiatif mengerjakan tugasnya. Kalau toh berhenti sesaat, itu pun untuk berkomunikasi atau berkoordinasi. Sungguh Tuhan menciptakan semut yang memberi contoh team work yang baik.

Amsal 6 : 6 - 8

Hai pemalas, pergilah kepada semut, perhatikanlah lakunya dan jadilah bijak: biarpun tidak ada pemimpinnya, pengaturnya atau penguasanya, ia menyediakan rotinya di musim panas, dan mengumpulkan makanannya pada waktu panen.

SPIRIT OF HOPE

Saturday afternoon , June 12th, 2010 , I was in the crowd watching the opening ceremony of Bali Art Festival 2010. This was a cultural event that not only attended by artists from all regions of Bali , but also attended by several delegations from other islands in Indonesia and some representatives from other countries .

As a Balinese , I admired this event. When the camera aimed at the attraction of Baris dancers , knights Bali, I could feel the powerfull spirit behind it . Agility , loyalty and triumph are three values that wrapped inside of the life's challenges .

However , there is one thing that can not be forgotten. It is a hope , even when only a small chance remains. A hope often makes people stay in an uncomfortable situation for a certain time while waiting for an answer. Then, faith , as the spiritual motivation , stays behind the expectation. Without faith, a hope was empty . In fact , good faith and good hope will be very meaningful in a work of love.

Values above, are universal and basically became a part of family traditions in achieving peace . This certainly has been widely shown by our parents and ancestors in achieving their goals.


This spirit should make us more excited again within reaching the ideals, which actually had been done already by our predecessors. So that, we just need to give thanks and pass them even better as we could.
